    Certified Medicine Aide (FULL-TIME)

     

    Meadow Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is looking forCertified Medicine Aides(CMA) is responsible for providing medication assistance / administration and quality daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by supervisors.

     

    Full and Part time shifts available

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Certified Medicine Aide in the state.
    • Previous CMA experience required, and must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
    • Must be experienced in administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications and subcutaneous injections.
    • Must be able to multi-task and proceed with tasks in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served. Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
    • Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Center.
    • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Providing residents with services in accordance with the health care provider's orders regarding administration or assistance with medications and treatments
    • Supervising of self-administered medication to residents following company and regulatory guidelines
    • Reporting any change in resident's health and providing proper documentation to the supervisor.
    • Assisting residents with daily functions, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, transporting to activities and more.
    • Entering accurate and timely notes to residents’ records and charts.
    • Reporting all changes in the resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as possible.
    • Providing residents and families with a high level of customer service.
    • Maintaining close communication with staff members
