REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF PLANT OPERATIONS - (NJ/PA/MD)

 

Marquis Health Services is seeking a seasoned Regional Director of Plant Operations with Long-term experience to oversee and direct building maintenance, safety and security programs, as well as coordinates construction and renovation programs for our facilities.

 

You will be responsible for multiple nursing centers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a Facilities Maintenance/Plant Operations role in a healthcare setting.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of all life safety codes (NFPA 2012), a proven history of deficiencies free surveys. 
  • Must be knowledgeable of HVAC boilers, compressors, generators and mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and plumbing systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable of building codes, safety regulations and blueprint interpretation.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to be on-call and available when emergencies arise.
  • Must be willing to travel 90% of the time and over-night travel is required

Responsibilities

Responsibilites include but are not limited to:

 

  • Oversee Plant Operations, Housekeeping, Laundry and Floor Care
  • Perform regular visits to healthcare facilities to evaluate maintenance, safety and building operations.
  • Plan, develop and direct Maintenance Services in each building, ensuring proper maintenance of facilities, including carpentry work, grounds keeping, painting, equipment and HVAC systems, etc.
  • Supervise fire and safety programs; regularly inspect equipment, building and grounds to ensure a safe and comfortable environment; promptly report facility or equipment damage to Administrators.
  • Evaluate and test building security systems, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel comply with Universal Precautions, proper waste disposal and inspection control procedures and safety rules.
  • Ensure compliance with JCAHO, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory business appointments.
  • Serves as liaison with outside contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers. Ensure outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts.
  • Provide leadership, direction and performance evaluation of facility maintenance staff.
